YOUR GUIDE TO HIRING
When you first join our Hiring Group, you will need to know how to retrieve your Farm Link. Please see the relevant page, under "Group Help/Information.
When you post your work request, you should always mention your requirements, so that members will know if they are able to complete your work, or indeed if they would like to do your specific job.
Therefore, in your post, you need to state the following:
1. What the job actually is, and whether there are multiple jobs. For instance, Harvesting, Chopping, Fishing etc.
2. If tools are a necessity, or you are willing to hire someone without tools.
3. If your farms are stacked/layered,
4. If you only wish to hire one worker, or are prepared to split the work amongst two or more. Please keep in mind, that if you split the work, you would be helping more members.
There are also a few simple guidelines to ensure the smooth running of the group.
1. Never take a job if you don't intend to finish it.
2. The offers of help should be taken on a first come, first served basis. The first to reply, should be hired for your job, and each subsequent member thereafter, if you have requested multiple workers.
3. If you are working for someone and find yourself unceremoniously kicked off, you should make every effort to contact the member, and not just leave the job unfinished. In most circumstances, you can be re-hired to complete the work. If you are unable to make direct contact with the person who has hired you, then you should come back to the group, and inform them on the group wall. This is purely good manners!
4. If you do not get a response as soon as you would like and decide to do the work yourself, or indeed, hire from the marketplace, you should write "Job Cancelled" on your post. This will prevent other members replying to you, and maybe turning down other job offers, while they wait for a response from you, which on many occasions, may not happen, as you might have gone offline.
5. It would be sometimes nice, if members could give some work to those on lower levels, who do not have tools. After all, they would probably need the work.....more so than those on higher levels. I am aware that your timing may not allow for this, most of the time, but I ask that you keep this in mind.
6. Finally, a simple "Thank you" goes a long way. It will also let other members know that the work has been completed.
Enjoy!
