AUTO CLICKER - SLASHKEY BAN
I am aware that many of you might use an auto clicker, mainly to assist with medical conditions, in order that you can play Farm Town, without suffering pain. However, if you set the speed of your auto clicker, too high, it is then classed as a "bot" and not an "Assistive Device." The rules from Slashkey regarding this are very vague, and they refuse to give a definitive number. But in general, it should not be set any higher than the speed at which a person could normally click. Please check the speeds at which you are using them, as people are now getting the following message from Slashkey:
Farm Town has detected again that your user account is playing the game through a bot, such as an automated clicking system.
This type of behavior compromises Farm Town's ability to provide a good gaming experience to the rest of
the players, and as a result, your user account has been banned from playing the game until August 14, 2012, 12:23 am.
Users that keep using bots to play Farm Town will be banned
for weeks, months, or even permanently.
Their farms are indeed being blocked for the time that is stated in their message. The Moderators on the Forum, have given the following reason for this:
"The developers have acknowledged that they have detected a significant increase in the use of Bots and it was impacting on the speed of the game for users. In an effort to make to game fair for everyone they have clamped down on the use of bots."
